In June 2022, art space “Villa Moyard” in Morges in Switzerland hosted three international musicians, affording them the space to create a new project called hyperlynx. Philipp Schlotter (German keyboardist), Matthew Jacobson (Irish drummer) and Laurent Méteau (Swiss guitarist) spent a four-day residency composing and workshopping material before premiering the material to local audiences. In February 2023, Philipp Schlotter and Laurent Méteau were lucky enough to be welcomed at the “Live in Vevey” residency. Matthew Jacobson being on tour in the United States, double bass player David Helm joined the project for these few days on the shores of the Geneva Lake.
The concerts planned for 2024 will be in trio with Matthew Jacobson, and the group is looking forward to touring in quartet someday. These musicians evolve in different musical styles in their respective countries; between electronic pop, improvised music and contemporary jazz, and are looking forward to bring their music to audiences around Europe in 2024.
